My car went in to the shop sounding like a helicopter and driving HORRIBLY BUT came out of the shop sounding brand new and driving like a dream!!! Not only was the man at the front very polite, he explained everything that was fixed and what was wrong. My mom has been taking all her cars there for years because of how nice and honest she feels they are.

Just getting my vehical looked at had some miner things but the guy at the desk is rude and should look for a different job.

I'm sorry you had a bad experience. I talked to Greg. It's a very frustrating situation when we check a vehicle out and do not get any repair from the check out. We really don't make any money checking things out, we charge just enough to pay the tech. Checking your history we have checked your vehicle out 4 times over 3 years but have not gotten any repairs off of the check out. If this was all we did we would be out of business in a month. Very frustrating for us.

I will not recommend no one to go to Rick's Auto in Mishawaka I went there to put my vehicle on a machine to see why it's not running I also told the guy don't worry about the beeping noise is it's for a new oil change he called me I went in and he said it was the oil pressure sensor center it oil filter he was going to charge me over $1,000 just to fix that and he went ahead did it oil change without my consent I start off paying for to pay $109 when I got through pain I had to pay $145 so they really have poor business service and communication and then they try to get smart at the end so I recommend nobody go there go somewhere else you have better service.

Judy, thank you for letting me know about your experience. I talked to Greg about it. We actually did not do an oil change. When we notice the oil light was on we checked the oil and there was nothing showing on the dip stick which means its at least 2 quarts low on oil. If you run an engine that is low on oil it will damage the engine so we added 2quarts of oil and rechecked it. There was still no oil on the dip stick so we added another 2 quarts of oil and the reading was barely on the dip stick so we added another quart of oil to bring it into the normal range so we could properly check out the problem. I had my 2005 Toyota matrix starter replaced. The service was very good - received calls and the work was done day of. I was not happy with how much I was charged for a starter - $267. This seemed excessive considering refurbished starters go for around $75 and new around $125. Wondering why the huge upcharge?

James, thank you for the review. Yes you can buy the starter cheaper at a parts house, basically you are cutting out the middle man in the process, we have to make a profit to stay in business. If you check on any website like repair pal, they can give you a price range for having someone do the job. Our prices are within the range that you would pay for retail work, whereas when you buy the part you are paying wholesale for the part.
